Parking and Registration at Phoenix Municipal Stadium (SW corner of Van Buren and Priest)


Required registration fee of $25 for adults and teens, and includes a t-shirt and all day admittance to the zoo. Children under 12 and people on the spectrum are free. Registration fee is waived for donations of $25 or more per person.

Handicap Parking


People with handicapped placards may park inside the zoo, and register at the Children’s Entrance to the Zoo. The registration at the zoo is only for people with handicapped placards and people traveling in the same vehicle with them. Everyone else should register at Phoenix Muni Stadium.

Light Rail: Use the Priest/Washington stop, go to the NE corner of Washington and Priest, and wait by the bus stop for a ComTrans shuttle to the Zoo.

Walkers can stay at the zoo the entire day!

Have a fun time strolling around the zoo with your family and friends, seeing lions, tigers, giraffes, elephants, monkeys, bears, tortoises, and more!

Walk Path

The walk begins with a 0.5 mile walk from Phoenix Muni Parking to the Zoo, on an easy paved path. In the zoo, the Zoowalk will cover 1.1 miles on an easy paved path, with some shade and places to stop and view the animals. At the end of the Zoowalk, walkers can return to Phoenix Muni Parking by walking or by bus (until 1 pm).

It is ideal for strollers, wheelchairs and wagons.

(no bikes, skateboards, or roller blades, please). 

After 9:00 am, walkers may continue to walk around the zoo as they like (free admission with Zoowalk bracelet).
